The Case Western Reserve University baseball team was left out of the field of 58 teams selected to the NCAA Division III Championships when the bracket was released early Monday morning.
The Spartans had hopes of receiving one of the two Pool B bids (awarded to independent teams or teams who are members of conferences without an automatic bid) or one of the 16 Pool C at large bids to the field.
With the news, the Spartans officially end their season with a 29-10 record.
