As part of our 'Spartan Stories,' each Thursday, we'll be taking a look at some of the top moments for each CWRU team during the 2019-20 year. Today, we'll be going back to November 9, 2019 for the CWRU football team's clinching of sole possession of the PAC Championship.
Needing a win in one of their final two games after clinch at least a share of the title the prior week with a victory against Bethany, the Spartans topped Waynesburg University 27-24 in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. Junior Travis Johnston returned the game's opening kickoff 87 yards for a touchdown, and also ran for a score in the game.
