The Case Western Reserve University baseball team will open its 2023 season this weekend as the team will be aiming to defend its University Athletic Association Championship last season and reach the NCAA Division III Championship for the first time since the 2019 season.
The Spartans are coming off a 23-17 overall record last season, despite playing the toughest schedule in Division III. CWRU had 11 wins against regionally ranked opponents, tied for the most in the region. The Spartans also won each of its conference series during the year, finishing the conference schedule with a 12-4 record to claim its fourth UAA title.
