It’s not the greatest opportunity for a rookie quarterback, making his first start for a team eliminated from the playoffs and riding a six game losing streak, yet Will Grier will have to make the best of it. Honestly at this point the bar is not set very high. His predecessor Kyle Allen has a PFF grade of 50 and has committed 22 turnovers in 12 starts. The Carolina Panthers have not formally announced Grier as the starter but it is expected any time now. The rumors are flying all over Twitter and it just makes too much sense.
