The Carolina Panthers selected Kelvin Benjamin in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. After a productive rookie campaign (73 receptions, 1,008 yards, nine touchdowns), Benjamin then missed the entire 2015 season due to injury. He played the full 2016 season (63-941-7) and then in 2017 the Panthers shockingly traded him to the Buffalo Bills after Week 8.
In what has to be one of the quirkiest stats in recent NFL history, from 2014 through Week 16 of the 2017 season, the Carolina Panthers went 19-22-1 when Benjamin played and 23-3 when he didn’t, playoffs included.
