The Carolina Panthers got shut out on Sunday by the Jacksonville Jaguars, which sounds bad until you realize that they fell to 2-14 and clinched the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft (which they well be dutifully forwarding to the Chicago Bears) in the process. This team is bad and we should not treat them being bad as any kind of revelation.
