The NFL trade deadline has passed and while many expected the Carolina Panthers to go after a wide receiver that could bring more of a true number one threat, it just wasn’t the case. Carolina has a team full of slot receivers and no true wide out, just a bunch of really good complementary guys.
D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel are no scrubs. In fact, Panthers legend Steve Smith himself said that Moore is the only guy he feels like can take his spot in Carolina. Through two seasons all we’ve seen is 93 receptions, 1,251 yards and just three touchdowns.
