The Panthers got some good news today when Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen returned to the practice field today.
While it was only to do training exercises on the side with other injured players, Olsen’s return is a positive sign after his recent bout of back spasms had the team concerned.
“The back finally calmed down,” said head coach Ron Rivera, according to Max Henson of Panthers.com.
Rivera also added that Olsen may wind up returning fully to practice later on this week.
The Panthers star tight end missed all of last week’s practices and last Saturday’s preseason game in Tennessee recovering from his back injury.
