The Carolina Panthers defeated the Chicago Bears 23-13 in the preseason opener for both teams, and for the most part the Panthers looked like a good football team should look in their first preseason game. There were some highlights and lowlights, but overall the Panthers have plenty to be happy about after getting their first win of 2019.

Winners
Marquis Haynes: Haynes had himself a ballgame against the Bears and proved that he can be a useful rotational piece in the Panthers’ rebuilt defense.
