The Carolina Panthers are the 22nd most valuable franchise in the NFL

According to Forbes, the Carolina Panthers are valued at $2.4 billion, making the team the 22nd most valuable NFL franchise and tied for the 41st most valuable sports franchise in the world. It’s not very difficult to accurately gauge the Panthers market value since David Tepper bought the club in 2018 for $2.275 billion. In just two years Tepper’s investment has risen by $125 million dollars, or about 5.5 percent. (The S&P 500 is up over 14 percent over the last two years so maybe Tepper isn’t such a financial genius after all?
