There have been a few reports circling around the internet saying that the Carolina Panthers should make a phone call and see if current New York Jets backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is available.
As Tim Weaver of PanthersWire.com wrote Wednesday, the Jets have been open to trading away the former Louisville product. It would reunite Bridgewater with offensive coordinator Norv Turner, as the latter coached Bridgewater two seasons ago.
Acquiring Bridgewater certainly would not be a bad idea.
For starters, he is only 25 years old. For Most quarterbacks, they would be entering the prime of their careers.
