Sources: Panthers' Jeremy Chinn (quad) expected to miss 6 weeks

Carolina Panthers safety Jeremy Chinn has a significant quad injury that is expected to sideline him up to six weeks, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday.

Chinn does not need surgery for the injury, the sources said.

He has 23 tackles and a sack in six games this season. He has been a starter for the Panthers since being selected in the second round of the 2020 draft and finished runner-up to Chase Young in the Defensive Rookie of the Year voting that season.

He has 317 tackles, 2 interceptions and 4 sacks in four NFL seasons.
