CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera walked into Wednesday's news conference wearing a gray, long-sleeve T-shirt with the image of quarterback Cam Newton wearing a brimless hat on the front.
Asked if there was anything special about the shirt, Rivera smiled and said, "Nope."

He did the same thing later in the news conference. The third time, when asked about the story behind the shirt, Rivera said, "Oh, no, it's just a cool T-shirt.
