The Panthers first team continued to show signs of dominance on both sides of the football. As the game continued, improved play from the second and third string personnel helped to secure the 26-16 victory. A continued progression throughout the preseason will only benefit Carolina when they head to Denver, opening up the 2016 season.
Unlike last week, the reserve players continued to impress even into the fourth quarter of action. At the half, Carolina led 13-7 and the coaches were focused on winning the game. Communicating the importance of competition and winning, even in the preseason, will help players carry over that mindset into the regular season.
