Rivera: Success allows players like Cam Newton to share stories

Panthers' Thomas Davis won't lie, he's excited about leading outside linebackers in the early Pro Bowl voting after being snubbed his entire career. His goal is to make the Super Bowl and not the Pro Bowl.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera is feeling like a proud papa these days.

Not just because the Panthers (8-0) are one of only three remaining undefeated teams at the halfway point of the NFL season.

He's happy because of the exposure his players are getting as a result of their success. Because the success is allowing them to share stories with the rest of the world – NFL Japan was in town on Thursday -- that could be inspirational to others.
