Risers and Fallers in Week 16’s home loss against the Green Bay Packers

It was a tough loss for the Panthers. Carolina’s normally competent defense got steamrolled on the ground most of the day to spoil one of the Panthers better offensive days in recent memory. Carolina tied the game at 30 with just over four minutes left. A defensive stand could have put the Panthers in position to win the game late, but Ejiro Evero’s squad gave up a field goal with 22 seconds left.

Carolina got the ball back with no timeouts. Miraculously, Bryce Young hit DJ Chark for 22 yards then Adam Thielen for 22 more yards down to the Green Bay 31 as a running clock burned away the final seconds of the game.
