The sliver of hope that undrafted free agents have during training camp of making an NFL roster is about s razor thin as it possibly can be. You have to perform above expectations in very limited opportunities, and you have to hope your body doesn’t fail you. Unfortunately for second year UDFA wide receiver Fred Ross, his second injury in as many years probably spells the end of his NFL dream, at least for now. The Panthers waived him with an injury designation on Sunday.
In connection with this move, the team has signed rookie UDFA Jason Reese, who was recently waived by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
