The Panthers started the game on offense with P.J. Walker under center. The Panthers were able to move the ball a bit but couldn’t put points on the scoreboard after having to punt from midfield.
The defense did a good job of getting off the field after forcing the Lions to punt, but the special teams unit committed a holding penalty on the punt return and had to start deep in their own territory for their second drive.
The Panthers drove down the field on their second drive and were set up well when P.J. Walker found DJ Moore for a 52-yard strike.
