The Carolina Panthers are preparing for their Week 5 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars and had a few starters missing from practice today.
Cornerback Donte Jackson, safety Eric Reid, wide receiver Curtis Samuel and guard Trai Turner were all held out due to injury. Tight end Greg Olsen and running back Christian McCaffrey were given a rest day. Offensive tackle Greg Little and tight end Chris Manhertz were also sidelined today. Quarterback Cam Newton was also absent and isn’t expected to play on Sunday while he recovers from a sprained foot.
