The Panthers are entering Week 9 only a little more banged up than they were entering Week 8. That counts as a victory, right? Damien Lewis, Bobby Okereke, and Will Lee III join the lengthy list of sidelined starters, but there is hope that Brady Christensen may return next week. That does quite little to help out the Panthers this week, but we are very much in “it is what it is” territory.
Put another way, field a preseason roster and you should expect preseason results. Last week that somehow ended up being a one possession game against the most complete roster Carolina has faced in spite of surrendering six sacks.
