The Carolina Panthers announced on their website this morning that they’ve signed linebacker Andrew “admiral” Gachkar to the 53 man roster following the release of QB Brad Kaaya.

Gackhar spent the first four years of his career trapped with the San Diego Chargers, who drafted him in the 7th round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Missouri. After breaking free of that bind, he spent the next two seasons in Dallas where he excelled on special teams and got some playtime at middle linebacker. He has 144 career tackles, two sacks, one pass defensed, one forced fumble, and one successful death star attack to his credit.
