With the No. 59 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers have finally selected wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. from LSU. Marshall Jr. is a rare-for-2021 combination of fast and large at the position. Wide receiver isn’t a top need for the Panthers, but it was definitely on their shopping list coming into the draft and they did not hesitate to select one of the best remaining athletes as the first offensive draft player in the Matt Rhule era.
Marshall Jr. has impressed evaluators around the league with his ability to work anywhere on the field, using his size and speed to box out corners on the outside or create inside leverage from the slot.
