With the no. 70 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers have selected Brady Christensen from BYU. He is one of the top remaining tackle prospects and meets a true position of need for this Panthers team. Carolina missed out on a few targets on their board while trading back to accumulate more picks earlier, but clearly didn’t want to leave this draft without a tackle with upside.
Christensen is an athletic tackle prospect whose measurements compare favorably to athletes who play defensive end and, to a lesser extent, even linebacker. He is relatively sound in his technique in both run and pass blocking sets, but not finished in his development in either.
