Panthers running backs coach Jim Skipper retires

Update: According to Albert Breer, the Panthers have named former Alabama assistant Jake Peetz as their new running backs coach.

The Carolina Panthers announced today that longtime running backs couch Jim Skipper is retiring.

Skipper first joined the Panthers in 2002 after spending the 2001 season as head coach of the XFL’s San Francisco Demons.
