Panthers Promote Foucault, Waive Horton

CHARLOTTE – The Panthers have signed offensive tackle David Foucault to the active roster from the practice squad and waived defensive end Wes Horton. With Amini Silatolu sidelined with an ankle injury for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, the Panthers needed additional depth on the offensive line.

Foucault, 6-8 and 320 pounds, played in five games with one start for Carolina in 2014. He was initially signed as a tryout player after being selected fifth overall in the 2014 Canadian Football League Draft byt the Montreal Alouettes. He spent the first three weeks of the 2015 season on the Panthers’ practice squad.
