Over the weekend teams across the NFL cut their rosters from 90 down to the mandated 53, Carolina Panthers included. Following, a 10-man practice squad is constructed for those individuals on the roster bubble capable of assisting in team’s preparation and potentially being promoted to the active roster at some point during the season.
For the Panthers, a mix of both offense and defense were added as the team begins game planning for the visiting Dallas Cowboys to open the 2018 regular season. As all NFL teams trim their rosters a windfall of available players, particularly those with remaining practice squad eligibility become readily available.
