Panthers on the hunt for Scott Fitterer’s future assistant general manager

The Carolina Panthers are searching for general manager Scott Fitterer’s assistant general manager and one of the candidates may be quite familiar to Panthers fans.

The Panthers are requesting permission to speak with former linebacker Dan Morgan, now the director of player personnel with the Buffalo Bills, as well as Philadelphia Eagles assistant director of player personnel Ian Cunningham, per Ian Rapoport.

Morgan, 42, spent seven seasons in Carolina as a linebacker, reaching both All-Pro and the Pro Bowl in 2004. That year he registered 101 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions and a forced fumble.
