Panthers: New stadium not likely, at least initially

The Carolina Panthers have undergone a significant amount of change since last season, including a new owner. David Tepper recently completed his sole purchase of the franchise from founder and previous owner, Jerry Richardson. The move came as a result of workplace misconduct allegations against the former owner which were substantiated by an NFL investigation and lead to a sizable fine for the Panthers initial owner.

While other legal implications may result from fallout surrounding the initial NFL investigation, there are other concerns for both fans and members of the Charlotte community. Despite recent upgrades to the facility, Bank of America Stadium remains one of the older stadiums in the league and it seems almost every professional sports entity is always pushing for the biggest and best new stadium.
