Panthers Injury News: Chris Hogan to Injured Reserve

The Carolina Panthers have placed wide receiver Chris Hogan on injured reserve with a knee injury that he sustained during the Week 4 game with the Houston Texans.

Hogan was signed this offseason to a $1.45 million contract but has struggled to find opportunities on the field so far. He has only recorded three catches for 24 yards. That had him pegged firmly behind Jarius Wright, in his second year with the Panthers, on the wide receiver depth chart.

Per the Panthers.com report, the team believes that his injury isn’t truly season ending and that he could be a candidate to return from injured reserve after eight weeks.
