Thanks to the field conditions in Canton, the 2016 football season will officially get underway on Thursday night. The Carolina Panthers first game day of the year begins on the road in Baltimore, with a match-up against the Ravens set for 7:30pm EDT.
The last time these two teams faced off was during Week 4 of the 2014 season. The Ravens defeated Carolina, 38-10, as former Panther wide receiver Steve Smith accumulated 139 yards and two touchdowns in his first game against his old team.
Though Smith is returning for another NFL season at age 37, he isn’t expected to be participating in the preseason for the Ravens.
