Panthers draft more defensive players on final day of NFL Draft

Dallas — The Carolina Panthers rounded out their 2018 draft class Saturday, picking up four more defenders and a tight end.

With the first pick Saturday, the Panthers drafted tight end Ian Thomas out of Indianna. The SIZE was the first pick of the fourth round, overall.

Later in the fourth round, the team traded up to get Marquis Haynes 136th overall. The Panthers traded a fifth round pick (147th overall) and their only sixth round (197th overall) pick to the Los Angelos Rams for the pass rusher out of Ole Miss.
