Panthers draft D.J. Moore in first round

CHARLOTTE – The Panthers have acquired an explosive offensive weapon, selecting former Maryland wide receiver D.J. Moore with the 24th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Moore was the first wideout selected in the draft.

The 6-foot, 210-pound Moore was outstanding as a junior for the Terrapins in 2017. Different playing with four different quarterbacks during the course of the season, he posted 80 receptions for 1,033 yards with eight touchdown catches and was named Big Ten Receiver of the Year.

Moore’s career totals include 146 receptions, 2,027 yards and 18 total touchdowns.
