The Carolina Panthers have been monitoring the progress and potential impact of incoming Hurricane Florence, but had not made any official preparation decisions as of Wednesday afternoon.
“We have several contingency plans,” said coach Ron Rivera, who added that a team that includes new Panthers owner David Tepper has been working on plans for players and their families.
“And our thoughts and prayers most certainly go to everybody that is in the path of this hurricane, just to make sure everybody is safe. But we do have a few plans, and as each day goes by we will see where we are before we make any decisions.
