The Carolina Panthers suffered their first major injury of camp on Sunday as reserve defensive tackle Chas Alecxih (ah-LEX-ee) went down with an apparent knee injury. Alecxih was injured during a 2-on-2 drill involving two defensive linemen and two offensive linemen blocking at the line of scrimmage. Unfortunately, he had to be carted off of the practice field indicating the severity of the damage.
The defensive tackle was in his second camp with Carolina and arguably having his best performance to date. Signed last year as a tryout player invited to the teams’ rookie mini-camp, Alecxih was waived during the final roster cuts.
