Panthers CB Teddy Williams sees house get flooded by Harvey – from Charlotte

Carolina cornerback Teddy Williams had his left arm briefly go numb Thursday night in the Panthers’ final exhibition, but he was more concerned about his flooded house in Houston and all the people in the city that have been displaced.

Williams said his wife and children left Houston for Charlotte the day before Hurricane Harvey made landfall – a trip that had been pre-planned. But then he found out at 3 a.m. that his house was sustaining damage.

“We actually found out our house had been hit pretty hard based off our alarm system,” Williams said. “So (last) Friday night, when the hurricane hit, it knocked in our back doors and triggered our alarm.
