The Panthers have released today’s injury report ahead of Sunday’s game against the Falcons. As we feared, Trai Turner will miss the game. So, too, will Damiere Byrd and Curtis Samuel. The wide receivers did not practice once this week.
There hasn’t been any speculation on any of the injuries, aside from Greg Olsen’s, being long term so there has been no discussion of sending any of these players to injured reserve. That is to say, there isn’t an obvious path to there being space on the roster for the Panthers to sign Brenton Bersin as they look to address their current shortage of targets for Cam Newton.
