This is a week of change for the Panthers and inevitability for the Falcons. Ron Rivera is out of the NFC South and Dan Quinn is sure to be soon behind him. At least, that is what the national wisdom says. Fans of both the Panthers and the Falcons know, however, that neither of us can have nice things.
We know that there are nonzero odds that these two cursed teams ultimately swap head coaches. We know that the same way we know that water is wet and that extra points are anything but guaranteed.
