The Panthers entered this game looking for another win, this time against a bitter division rival that could use this victory for their playoff hopes.
1st Quarter
The Panthers defense started the game, the Falcons seemed to walk the ball down the field on them until back to back negative plays on 3rd and 4th and short by Frankie Luvu shut down the Falcons first drive. However, the Panthers ensuing drive also got stopped on a 4th and short after their rushing game got squashed on back to back plays. The Panthers defense locked down with a great series by Brian Burns, capped off with a pass deflection on 3rd down and long, forcing a punt.
