Panthers 38 Cardinals 20: Kyle Allen impresses; defense dominates in Panthers’ first win of 2019

Well, that was fun. The Panthers came into Arizona desperately needing a win, and they had to show up without their franchise quarterback and one of their best defensive linemen. They responded to their situation by taking control of the Cardinals in the second half and dominating the final two quarters en route to a 38-20 win to improve their record to 1-2 on the young season.

Backup quarterback Kyle Allen was, in one word, incredible. He was 19-of-26 with four touchdowns and zero interceptions. He showed poise in the pocket. He limited mistakes. He was everything the Panthers hoped he could be, and more.
