When this game started I fully expected the Panthers to lose, and I thought it would be one of those games where the outcome was all but decided by halftime. But that’s not what happened. The Panthers went into a quick 14-0 hole, but fought back valiantly to keep the game close and never let it get out of reach. They tied the game late in the second half and even had a chance to take the lead late in the fourth quarter, but Joey Slye’s field goal attempt sailed wide and the Saints drove down the field and won on Will Lutz’s 33-yard game winner as time expired.
