Panthers- 19,Ravens-22: Roaring Recap

The new season for the Carolina Panthers began last night in Baltimore and like all preseason games, left fans with a sense of hope and panic. Some highlights were made, but overall the performance was lacking following the departure of the first team for Carolina.

A football team advertised as deep throughout almost every position showed some vulnerability during the game. Alas, it is the first of four meaningless games unless you’re one of the 90 men trying to earn a roster position among the Panthers. Following is a quarter-by-quarter recap of the loss.

FIRST QUARTER: 10-0, CAROLINA

The first team offense, minus center Ryan Kalil and running back Jonathan Stewart, opened up the game with a nice 68-yard drive.
