No, Geraldo, it wasn't Panthers; but it's still been tough 2016 for Carolinas

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – It’s been a rough three months for North and South Carolina teams playing in championship games.

Top-ranked Clemson lost its undefeated season and the college football national championship 45-40 to Alabama in January. The Carolina Panthers and their NFL-best record lost Super Bowl 50 to the Denver Broncos in February.

On Monday night, North Carolina lost in the the NCAA tournament championship game 77-74 to Villanova on a buzzer-beater by Kris Jenkins.

And if you saw what Geraldo Rivera wrote on Twitter, you might have thought the Panthers were on the losing end again.
