I’ve been trying to tell you that the Carolina Panthers are young and full of promising talent since Cam Newton’s first shoulder injury in 2018 took them quickly from the status of contenders to that of a rudderless ship. The next coach, I once said, would have so much to work with. I won’t write that column again. Not for a fifth consecutive season. Not when there are only seven Panthers left in Charlotte who were on that young and promising 2018 roster.
