CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Nothing helped Carolina Panthers safety Roman Harper get over the hangover of having a perfect season come to an end on Sunday at Atlanta more than meeting the “Black Mamba.’’
“I got to meet Kobe Bryant last night,’’ Harper said on Tuesday. “I’m riding high. I haven’t had many days better than that. I’m good. I’m looking forward to this week.’’
Harper met Bryant, nicknamed the “Black Mamba,’’ prior to Monday night’s Lakers-Hornets game at Time Warner Arena in Charlotte.
Harper said Bryant followed Carolina’s success during a 14-0 start that ended with a 20-13 loss to Atlanta on Sunday at the Georgia Dome.
