As the Carolina Panthers approach training camp at the end of this month, some of the free agent signings made more news than other signings. For instance, you can bank on it that most fans know Michael Oher was signed to start at left tackle, replace Byron Bell and protect Cam’s blindside. In the secondary, Gettleman made a semi-splash signing Charles Tillman to have a veteran presence and leadership on the field and in the locker room. Not to mention Tillman played for head coach Ron Rivera in Chicago.
