Leonard Johnson brings new energy and dance to Panthers defense

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Leonard Johnson knew he wasn’t perfect in Sunday’s debut for the Carolina Panthers.

But the nickel cornerback thought his sack dance was, even if Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kawann Short gave it only an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10.

“Man, I’ve been working on that dance about two years now," Johnson said of his celebration after sacking Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer for a 7-yard loss in the third quarter. “I think it’s a 10, man. I mean, my hips was moving, my legs was moving.
