The Carolina Panthers picked up Kelvin Benjamin’s fifth year option last week which means he will be with the team for at least two more seasons.
If he hopes to get a long-term deal though, this offseason and upcoming season will be pivotal.
Unfortunately, it hasn’t been a great start as there has been reports that he has shown up overweight. Head coach Ron Rivera recently tried to calm the panic and told Charlotte Observer’s Joe Person that he has been around the organization working on getting back in shape.
