Day two of the 2020 NFL Draft is complete. The Carolina Panthers selected defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos and traded up to select safety Jeremy Chinn. On today’s show:
- Brian made a bad typo on the Facebook post about Chinn
- We have officially dubbed Gross-Matos with a nickname
- Funny stories from Day One of the draft that we didn’t talk about on the last episode
- Gross-Matos fills a need that wasn’t really talked about
- Gross-Matos and Derrick Brown are a strong foundation for a defensive line, especially with Brian Burns
- The Panthers may have solidified their defensive line for years to come
- The Panthers did address their secondary with Jeremy Chinn
- How Chinn fits multiple roles, which is kinda what everybody wanted in Isaiah Simmons
- Chinn was a second round pick instead of a third round pick, but it probably doesn’t matter despite us trying to figure out how it could matter
- The Panthers show a clear direction with their first three draft picks
