One question that has loomed over the Carolina Panthers front office since the beginning of the offseason is whether or not Kawann Short is going to receive an extension and how much of the cap will Short command.
Halfway into the preseason, both sides are still in high hopes a deal will get done, but no deal has progressed.
“I feel good about it. If it (an extension) happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. I still have to come out here and play no matter the situation,” Short said to the Charlotte Observer on Wednesday.
