Jerricho Cotchery Hired as Assistant Wide Receivers Coach

The Carolina Panthers are continuing the team tradition of hiring former players as coaches by announcing today that Jerricho Cotchery has accepted the position of Assistant Wide Receivers coach. As you’ll recall, Cotchery played his final two years here in Carolina capping a twelve year career that also saw him play for the New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cotchery is known for being a reliable possession target, not a home run threat. He never really achieved NFL greatness, but was definitely a good player for the vast majority of his career.
